Extended royal welcome to local team Royal Earlswood

Another warm and beautiful Sunday saw a first ever meeting with Royal Earlswood. A late pull out by Roman Williams due to fatigue saw the versatile Daniel Ritchie drop back into the back line next to Billy Turner. Theo was in the holding role with Adam, Archie and Jude working with Niko and Freddie who were up top. Josh, Mason and Luke started on the bench. Early exchanges were made and no clear cut opportunities until in the 10 minute RE conceded a penalty which Niko dispatched. 4 minutes later a devilish free kick from Adam made it's way into the net to make it 2 - 0. Just before half time an in swinging corner from Niko hit a RE player for an OG which made it 3 - 0 at half time. The subs came on and made an impact in freshening up some attacks and on 36 minute Jude scored. The goal of the game came on 40 minutes after a quick counter attack which saw Niko win the ball back in our third, Archie slip it into Jude who played in Mason who squared to Freddie to smash it home. 10 minutes later Niko popped in his 2nd and with 2 minutes left a great cross saw Mason Creed all alone to place the ball into the goal to wrap up the scoring 7-0. Royal Earlswood never gave up and were a credit to their coach and badge. Next week we travel to Brighton to take on Brighton and Hove U12 Girls team.
