Season opener for new look team

With the sun beating down we welcomed Three Bridges to Tinsley Lane for the opening fixture of the Mid Sussex league. A late change saw captain Daniel Ritchie pull on the gloves and go in goal. The late change.saw Mason Creed slot into the CDM role and what a performance he had. New signing Freddie Mulvenna started up top and Jude Harding didn't need to wait to make his competitive debut. The summer final hit Crawley a d it hit both teams hard. We start well, on the front foot. Archie Waddle get stuck in and playing some great passes through the defence. Billy and Theo at the back looked solid and Roman and Adam B on both wings were working hard up and down the pitch. Both doing the ugly work to perfection. The pace and skill of Niko and Freddie was too much for the Three Bridges defence and after 7 minutes Niko scored his first goal to put us 1-0. After 15 minutes Freddie scored his first league goal for Oakwood, his 2nd goal wasn't too far behind and at half time we were 3-0 up.
The 2nd half started will and on 36 minutes Niko picked up his 2nd goal of the game putting us in a strong position. Three Bridges continued to push hard and Luke and Jude came into the game and kept us ticking over. On 48 minutes Niko scored his 3rd goal before moving back into defence for the remainder of the game. With 2 minuted left Adam Baccar came off the bench to score a screamer to finish off the scoring and complete a perfect start to to season.
