Back from lock down, Oaks deliver the perfect pre Christmas present

After hearing the news that sadly Bobby has left the club and Adam was self isolating we were left with the bare 7 lads on the first game back. The formation was strong with Zac in goal, Daniel and Jude at the back, Alf in the centre of the park with Ollie and Rhys supporting Roman up top. Oaks started very strong, working extremely hard off the ball in pressing and winning the ball back quickly. Rhys and Ollie on the wings were causing problems, Romans hold up play was brilliant, Alfs passing was on pint and the back 3 of Daniel, Jude and Zac looked very solid. At times it wasn't the slickest of games but the work rate and team play was outstanding. We opened the scoring with Roman scoring, our second goal highlighted the team performance, started by Daniel winning the ball at the back, passing it into Alf who passed it onto Ollie who got to the byline before crossing the ball with Rhys smashing it in to the goal first time - It was a great goal. The scoring was finished off by a fine goal by Alf. Zac pulled off a couple of good saves to keep a clean sheet. Pud even got an appearance in the 2nd half. We all wish Bobby and his family the very best and the door is always open. next week its Galaxy.....MOM was Ollie but EVERYONE played well.
