Oakwood Ladies draw Clapton in the FA Cup while kicking off the league campaign with a win.

Oakwood ladies drew Clapton Community in the next round of the SSE Women's FA Cup.
The Oaks who enjoyed an opening day victory putting 6 goals past league rivals AFC Littlehampton progressed from the preliminary round of the competition for the first time in the clubs history.

Andy Parsons team was awarded an away tie on the 22nd September in Walthamstow, London to contenst the first round qualification. Clapton qualified by beating Margate FC Ladies 6 -3.

Building on their 6-1 FA Cup victory, Oakwood kicked off the league campaign in style with an 8-1 away victory at Milford & Whitley. With a hattrick from Chloe Higham, the result puts a marker down for the intentions for the rest of the season.

On the road until October, this weeks fixture sees the Oaks travel to Bexhill United for the second league fixture.
